St James is an independent boutique hotel that is located in the heart of the dynamic and historic city of Nottingham, meaning that we are close to many amenities, attractions and sources of entertainment and leisure.

Located directly opposite the St James Hotel is the medieval Nottingham castle. The ducal mansion is still in use as a museum and art gallery and is home to most of the City of Nottingham’s fine and decorative art collections, galleries on the history and archaeology of Nottingham the surrounding areas and the regimental museum of the Sherwood Foresters. Nottingham Castle now plays host to a number of exciting annual events that are open to the public, which include the Nottingham Beer Festival and the Robin Hood Pageant!

Our central location is easily accessible from the Nottingham train station and we are very close to the Old Market Square. Nottingham organises an exciting and diverse array of events throughout the year; from the 1940s themed ‘Knees Up’, to the Splendour Festival, Nottingham Riviera, the outdoor cinema and outdoor theatre, Superhero Picnic, the Emergency Services Day, Riverside Festival and the Winter Wonderlandfestival (plus, much, much more!)
