Wedding season is well on the way and many are beginning the countdown to their big day. While you may have organised the venue and sent out invites to everyone on your guest list, there is still going to be plenty to think about.

For instance, now that you’ve sent out your invitations, some of your guests may be needing somewhere to stay. If your wedding venue is close by, you may want to look at luxury hotels in Nottingham so your guests don’t have to travel far. But that’s not the only thing you need to decide - here is a list of things you may not have yet organised.

Accessories

You may have already found the perfect dress, but now it's time to start looking at accessories such as earrings and necklaces. It’s also time to find the right shoes if you haven’t already, but remember that you will be in them all day so opt for a comfortable pair! For the guys, you may want to look at accessorising with a pair of cufflinks or even a tie clip to complete your outfit in style.

Table Décor

While the venue may be sorted, the table décor may not be yet. At the centre of each table, you want something that will look stunning and draw the eye, so you could look at floral arrangements as centrepieces, perhaps to match the bouquet of the bridal party. Alternatively, you could choose candles in pretty coloured jars for your centrepieces. For an extra special touch, why not scatter decorative glass pebbles artistically around each candle?

Favours

Another thing to think about is the favours that you want to give guests. It’s a great idea to give your guests something that they can keep and look back on in years to come - a lasting reminder of your big day. Get creative with the name cards on the tables and write an individual message to each guest for them to keep. If there will be children attending, you could also give the little ones a special teddy bear to take away and keep.

Accommodation

If you have guests who will be travelling in from out of town, it might be advisable to consider looking at accommodation. If your wedding venue offers accommodation, you may want to enquire about how many rooms are available and what is included. However, you could also look at hotels that are situated close to the venue. If your venue is nearby, for example, you could look at luxury hotels in Nottingham. It’s centrally-located, meaning that your guests will have various travel options available to them. In addition, there are plenty of things to do around Nottingham if guests are planning to stay in the area for a few days.

Seating Plan

The seating plan is incredibly important and it’s definitely something not to overlook. Every guest will want to know where they are seated and it gives you the perfect opportunity to get creative. You could display your seating plan on a chalkboard or even a mirror. Alternatively, you may even decide to leave name cards on a separate table with the table numbers on the back.

These are just a few of the things you will need to check off your list as the countdown to your big day continues. While it may seem as though there is still a lot to do, you can always ask your bridesmaids and best men for help. Spread the load, work together and finish off the final stages of your big day. It will be here in no time at all!
